MERGER BALLOT RESULT

Today was the closing date for the membership ballot the branch had to run in accordance with union rules in relation to our potential merger with City and North East Clerical Branch

The result of the count has revealed the following: YES 800 NO 43 SPOILT 2 Branch member have therefore agreed to the merger to take place

City and North East Clerical Branch have also had a positive result in their ballot. The Branch Officers will now proceed with further discussions to finalise the arrangements for merger and ensure Head Office agreement.

We are hoping that everything will be concluded swiftly and will aim at an inaugural meeting in March 2010.
